Honda CB750 model

Posted on May 4, 2009 by Scott in Classic, Racer. No Comments

How cool is this Tamiya  CB750 racing model? To be honest I’m not a miniature model guy. I actually prefer to own the real thing. Nonetheless it’s a beautiful 1:6th scale model. I would definitely buy one if my name was Ken and I wanted to impress a hottie named Barbie (although she probably won’t fit on that racer seat)…

Trip to Deus

Posted on April 11, 2009 by Scott in Classic, Racer. No Comments

I love going to Deus. I don’t enjoy going there with my ankle biters but hey i had no choice today.

They have so many great bikes in every corner. Discovered this little beauty in one of the corners today (next to the fire extinguisher and water cooler). A Yamaha R5 350cc from the seventies. Makes me want to put on my leathers and take on Mr Stoner.
I love the description (sales pitch) on the the ‘price tag’. If you can’t read it heres what it says…
“350cc 2 stroke bike with disc brake upgrade. Will need very little to get up and running again. Go racing, its fun, it’ll make you a better rider, meet new friends, meet beautiful women, get rich, get bigger muscles, rub shoulders with super stars,…” I’ll take two (not that i need bigger muscles)!

Yesterday… all my troubles seemed so far away

Yesterdays is a place in the Netherlands that specializes in antique motorcycles. They have a range of bikes from 1900’s to the 1950’s. I prefer the 1950’s end like the Nortons and BMW’s but its interesting looking at all the beautiful bikes of the past on their website. For all my American readers they even have some old Harleys and Indians. They do ship worldwide if  you see a bike you have to have…

Ace History lesson

Posted on March 24, 2009 by Scott in Classic, Racer, Video. 1 Comment

I found this shot of a beautiful old 4 cyclinder Ace Motorcycle from 1920 and had to post it. The Ace Motor Corporation didn’t last long after numerous owners. It changed hands for the last time in 1927, when it was purchased by the Indian Motocycle Company. The Ace name was discontinued after a few years. Indian motorcycle production continued for another 25 years until 1945.

This old black and white shot of these guys riding the Ace motorcycles makes me want to race em…

Watch the vid if you want to hear how they sound and ride.

Found these pics and cant find any information on them. Only that they are designed by Porco Rosso which means ‘red pig’ in french Italian. There are more on Numero1 if you like what you see. The kawasaki zx10r  looks like it could rip your arms off.  I am happy to sacrifice my arms for a ride…
