CB750

Distressed CB750

Kott Motorcycles is a small custom shop near Los Angeles California, specializing in the restoration and customization of 1970’s era Honda 750’s, 550’s, and 350’s. Like us, the owner Dustin Kott has a passion for cafe racers. We love the raw look of his bikes especially this 750 named ‘Distressed’. With clubman bars, hand formed racer seat and no fenders, this bike has been done in true cafe style. Check out more bikes from Kott and this nicely shot video of Kott in action.

1969 Hishiki Sumiya CR750

Posted on July 18, 2009 by Scott in Classic, Racer. No Comments

This Honda CR750 Replica has been in the making for 6 years. Painstakingly built by a guy called Simon from Cheshire in the U.K. It started life as a beat up old CB750. Some of you might be wondering about the 80’s ski suit looking colour scheme. It’s actually the 1969 Suzuka 8-hour winning colour scheme ridden by Honda development riders Hishiki and Sumiya (who died in 1975 racing). Those crazy japanese loved their bright colours. We really like how he had the balls to choose this colour scheme instead of the more common red and silver. Simon we take our helmets off to you mate. Brilliant job and we look forward to seeing the vid of this machine on the move. If you want more detail on this build you can find Simon on the SOHC Forum. [Thanks to Gav for this tip]

Monkee Magic

We are big fans of the Wrench Monkees from Denmark, Copenhagen. They have so many great bikes on their website but this Honda CB750 is one of our favourites. They mix up their project bikes from the classic SR500 and XS650 through to some less obvious rides like the z750B and Z1000A. Whatever the model they are turning them all into unique custom bikes that we really dig.

Honda CB750 model

How cool is this Tamiya  CB750 racing model? To be honest I’m not a miniature model guy. I actually prefer to own the real thing. Nonetheless it’s a beautiful 1:6th scale model. I would definitely buy one if my name was Ken and I wanted to impress a hottie named Barbie (although she probably won’t fit on that racer seat)…

IS IT HOT IN HERE?

Posted on March 15, 2009 by Scott in Café Racer, Classic. No Comments

I have seen this pic of the cb750 with the hottie in bikini many times. Hard to forget that beautiful body… and the girl looks alright as well. Found out this bike was recently on ebay and was sold by kgcycles. Went to their website and they have some sweet looking bikes. This cb750 is one of the best I have seen. Would love to know how much it went for, if anyone knows can they let me know?

Honda CB750. The Super Bike?

Posted on February 3, 2009 by Scott in Café Racer, Classic. 1 Comment

Apparently the CB750 was the first modern four cylinder machine from a mainstream manufacturer, the term Superbike was created to describe the CB750. Imagine that, the cb750 is the original superbike. Respect.

I just read that Discovery Channel ranked the Honda CB750 among the top ten greatest motorbikes of all time, giving the CB750 third place. That is ahead of Harley Davidson, Triumph Bonneville and Moto Guzzi V8. Heres a couple of shots to get you excited (who needs viagra). I have a thing for black cafe racers at the moment…
