This project started with a conversation that has probably happened in numerous bike shops around the world, with the half serious words “we should add a turbo to it”. The UK based OORacing specialize in Honda Monkey bikes and thought it was a good challenge to add a turbo to a Monkey bike. Over the years they have had lots of experience turbo charging multi-cylinder engines but have never tried to do it with a single cylinder engine. “Turbos are great things and like tires, every bike should have at least one” says Adrian from OORacing. So with that same attitude they started what would be called ‘Project Napier’ and went about turbo charging a Monkey bike – which soon turned into something far more extraordinary than they had ever dreamed of.

We recently received some out of the ordinary photographs from one of our readers named Koen who lives in Belgium. Koen is part of the Antwerp Dax Association who are a large group of ‘small’ Honda owners. Each year they go on a ride together to an amusement park where they show off their custom Honda Dax’s (local name for the Honda ST series), Honda Monkeys and any other Honda miniature motorcycle.
Found this custom shop in the UK that specialize in Honda Monkeys and Gorillas. They are called Monkey Bike (that explains it). They are not my style but I love some of the photos they have on their website. My favourite is the mean looking dude standing next to his hotted up monkey… now that is so bad ass buddy. Would be really funny to see a bikie gang that all ride these things… Maybe they could be called the Hells Monkeys?…
