Monkeetrip Episode 1

Posted on August 6th, by Scott in Video. 27 comments

We recently featured the Wrenchmonkees CB750 which was purpose-built for this monkeetrip. Now here’s the first episode of this 10 day ride which clocked up around 3000km across Europe. The Wrenchmonkees are working on their own line of work wear in collaboration with KANSAS and thought they’d do there own product testing. What better way to see how your clothes hold up than wearing them everyday for 10 days riding through rain, wind, storms and anything else mother nature threw at them. Filmed by Simon Weyhe & Mathias Nyholm Schmidt, all edited together with a superb music track by Ormen at WSLS Records.

Watch episode 2&3 after the jump.

Kawasaki W650 – Wrenchmonkees #32

I have a confession to make. I’ve been having a relationship with another girl for years behind my wifes back. I keep her tucked away in a garage up the road and I’m always making excuses to go see her. I could ride her all day long and most of the time I do. Then at other times, it’s just a quickie up to the shops – but always satisfying. You could call her my mistress. My metal mistress. So when Wrenchmonkees sent me an email saying they were building a bike for the Mistress Gentlemen’s Motorcycle Club (MGMC), I instantly related to the clubs name. Not because it sounds like a strip club (that helped), but because I like the idea of a motorbike being a ‘mistress’. MGMC is a fractional ownership club for luxury motorcycles in Lisbon Portugal. You pay an annual fee and you get to choose from the bevy of ‘Mistress motorcycles’. The more you pay, the more quality alone time you get to spend with these bikes over the year. “We have a Ducati Diavel, a BMW S1000RR and a GS 1200, but we needed something unique to complete our fleet” says part owner Gonçalo Henriques. “Our goal was to have a dream garage for our members. First we were thinking of a Harley but we contacted Per from Wrenchmonkees, that we found in a Portuguese magazine called Rev and project Mistress was born!”

Wrenchmonkees Club Black

What do you do if you are opening a new ‘uber cool’ nightclub in Denmark and you need some decorations? Well, you call the Wrenchmonkees and get them to build three custom motorcycles for you. Unfortunately these bikes will never see the white lines on the streets, but they may witness some white lines of another kind.

Monkee #3

Posted on October 11th, by Scott in Café Racer. 2 comments

A little while ago we showed you how the Wrench Monkees customized a Harley Davidson, now here’s how they transformed a Kawasaki Z1000 into a performance Cafe Racer. In my humble opinion the stock Kawasaki Z1000 isn’t the most attractive bike in the world but it does command respect. We love how WM have turned a Z1000 into a thing of beauty whilst keeping it’s performance heart and soul. A Z 1000 A engine, Wiseco piston kit, Wilbers rear shocks, Supertrapp muffler, and loads more WM goodies. For all the specs and more pics of this racer check the WM Gallery. Wrenchmonkee HD

The Wrenchmonkees have done it again. Creating a truly unique HD XLCH Hardtail. We love the combination of the old Husqvarna CR tank, Pirelli trials knobby tires on a HD sportster with a Monkee hardtail rear frame. Add the WM megatron pipes and custom fender and you have one friggin cool looking bike. Their motorcycles are almost worth moving to Copenhagen for (also Carlsberg beer and lego). For all the specs and more pics visit the WM site.

Monkee Magic

Posted on July 6th, by Scott in Brat, Café Racer. No Comments

We are big fans of the Wrench Monkees from Denmark, Copenhagen. They have so many great bikes on their website but this Honda CB750 is one of our favourites. They mix up their project bikes from the classic SR500 and XS650 through to some less obvious rides like the z750B and Z1000A. Whatever the model they are turning them all into unique custom bikes that we really dig.
