1979 Honda CX500D CXsy

At the front a 1978 CX500 headlight nacelle with a pair of Tomasalli Concourse clip ons and a blue fly screen mounted. The stock gauges faves are transparent blue and chromed inside to show off the workings. The speedo graduations are in 1/4 ton increments and the tach has “Freekin Red Line” only. CB400 T forks are a more stable unit in the same diameter with a right station from Europe for right side disc. Stainless steel lines and pistons with EBS floating rotors make up front brakes. Comstars wheels with an 18 inch rear from 1978 CX500. The GL500 Pro Link suspension was mounted with twin gas shocks replacing the single unit. Kobalt blue powder on frame and wheels with a Bubble blue paint for body work. The tail piece is the stock tail light painted with one small open on the rear for tail light. Mounted to custom rear frame section. Battery box is stainless and mounted underneath where old exhaust cross over was. Swings away for quick battery access. Stock header pipes with turnouts LED lighting through out and a carbon fiber rear fender shroud to protect intake finish it up. I had a aluminum license plate my brother had on my tool box for 20 some years. He etched a 55 Chevy Apache pick up in it so it got included with a spot light tag light mounted under tail piece. There was a point where the whole project almost got trashed when the drive shafts did not work. I found a guy in Canada who rebuilds Honda shafts and he put the CX front haft to the GL rear half and we were back on track. Most of the details can be seen on instagram. Thanks
