I tried to go for a raw “natural” finish. The seat is carved from African Zebra Wood and where possible all paint was removed engine, and other parts to shine up or leave in its natural state getting back to the basic essence of the bike. All I painted was the frame. I painted it black to bring contrast and attention to the raw features of the bike. I have built many 50cc restorations but none brought me as much pleasure as doing this using only parts we had lying around from past projects. Headlight is from a Suzuki A50, clocks are from a GT50 the rest I had lying around. Its not a perfectly mint bike but it was never supposed to be. It was more about having fun and resurrecting a bike that was on its way to the scrap heap. I suppose for me when you build something form nothing it brings a sense of joy that is priceless.
