Painted in acrylic paints using reference photo from a custom bike build. Palette was chosen as monochromatic blue tones, to give vibrancy to the image but not to draw away from the subject matter.
Compositionally weighted upper left hand corner on purpose to play with the concept of movement. Weight traditionally goes down, and we often depict favourable movement left to right. It’s a small detail but it’s part of the pride I put into these works.
I personally pour myself into these artworks and I would never submit anything that didn’t feature part of myself. Even if you enjoyed looking at it for just a moment, I feel that appreciation deeply
