So you want to build a sweet ride, but you don’t want to take the well travelled route. You want something with that café racer silhouette, but you also crave something fresh. This was the conundrum faced by Aditya Green from Mean Green Customs in India, when he was trying to work out the details for the feature bike seen here today. This bike started as a thought, was turned into a sketch and then became a beautiful reality. Sleek lines, low slung and with a side profile to make you weak at the knees, this futuristic café racer is definitely something you don’t see everyday. And that’s what makes us appreciate it all the more.
They say that genetics are responsible for what’s passed down through the generations. But anyone out there with kids will realised that there’s so much more than just DNA that goes into making a person a person. In fact, it can be down-right scary what they pick up from adults. Or even what they don’t pick up. And then there’s the little things that lay dormant for years and years, like seeds once planted that take an eternity to sprout. For Reginald Hilt from New Delhi’s Bull City Customs, that dormant seed contained the DNA to build an entire bike shop. And that’s just what it did once the conditions were right.

In the world of custom motorcycles fresh new shops and builders are forever surfacing globally. Standing out is somewhat paramount to success and first impressions are crucial to get the ball rolling in your desired direction. Without further adieu, meet ‘NADIA’, she is an intriguing, hand-crafted rigid tail Harley Davidson 883 Iron. NADIA is the debut build from TJ Moto, a small custom bike studio located in New Delhi, India – and from the looks of things, it won’t be their last.
Simon Lister is a sound engineer by trade but has a passion for photography and riding motorcycles to places only a handful of adventurers would dare to venture. He has ridden Royal Enfield’s through Rajasthan in northern India and has recently returned home from the Himalayas traversing some of the tallest passes in existence. We love how Lister describes riding in India… “When you’re on the motorbike, the adrenaline is running the whole time. You see amazing things on the road, especially in India. You see funerals, people on the roads, thousands of trucks, elephants, camels, dogs, dead dogs, dogs eating dead dogs, cattle, what you smell, what you see, what you taste, everything. It’s an explosion of all your senses.” You can view his beautiful collection of photographs on Simon Lister Photography.
