While Santa packed up his sleigh and headed off to fill his stomach with Cookies, Rum and Hay, for Rudolph and the lads, back here at Pipeburn HQ we were locked in a small room trying to pick the best bikes of 2019. It’s no easy task, but thanks to the custom builders right around the world who continue to amaze and our dear readers comments, likes and shares; we managed to narrow down the field. Plenty of worthy contenders just missed out, we created two new categories to help capture the years best, but in the end there can only be one winner and to top the pack it had to be seriously special, Ladies and Gentleman, you’re Pipeburn Bike of the Year…
Christmas has been easy for you. You lot have been stuffing your faces and lying comatose on the couch. But meanwhile, we at Pipeburn HQ have been tearing our hair out. Coming up with a list of finalists from the bikes we’ve featured over the last twelve months is no easy task. But there can be only one…
“Can we top last year‘s bikes?” We freak ourselves out with the same damn thought every year. And then we begin the judging, only to realise that we’re more spoilt for choice than ever. Welcome to our 8th annual Pipeburn Bike Of The Year Award…
In case you didn’t get the memo, January 2014 marks Pipeburn’s 5th anniversary. And what better way to celebrate that with a brand new website?
What you are looking at is the culmination of more than 12 months of planning, design, coding, testing and bloody hard work. Not only does this new site make things a lot easier for us, but it’s built on the cutting-edge WordPress platform, ensuring we will be able do what we do for many years to come. And in a first for a major motorcycle blog, we’re now fully responsive, too.
Welcome to Pipeburn 2.0.
Of course, we couldn’t have done it all by ourselves. We’d like to thank Chris from BikeEXIF for his sage-like WordPress advice, the silly talented Jackson Alsop for his front-end dev skills, Brandon Jones from MDNW for his amazing design and last but not least the guys at Media Temple for their patience with our never-ending questions.
We hope you like it.
A huge milestone occurred last week for Pipeburn and we almost missed it. We checked our stats and realised we have received over 500,000 hits since we started the site in June last year. Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that visits Pipeburn and shares our passion for cafe racers, customs and classic motorcycles – you are all one in a (half) million.
